Are sponges good natural sentinels for monitoring fish diversity in Antarctic coastal waters?

We extracted DNA from sponges collected at shallow hard-bottom communities in Antarctica. We amplified natural-sampler DNA using 12S MiFish primers. This is a multiplexed paired-end fastq file.
