China Agricultural Carbon Emissions Panel Data, 2000‒2022

This release provides a harmonized provincial panel for 2000–2022 that fuses agricultural carbon emissions, demographic trends, economic growth and energy metrics across mainland China. Carbon outputs follow IPCC 2006 coefficients, while other series—urbanization, private employment, FDI inflow, energy intensity and more—stem from National Bureau of Statistics publications and provincial yearbooks. All variables are z-score standardized; missing cells are below three percent and filled only when trends are monotonic. Roughly ten thousand numeric observations are ready for econometric, spatial or machine-learning analyses exploring the drivers of China’s low-carbon transition.
