Recently, significant attention has been directed towards investigating the role of chemical disorder in quantum spin liquid candidates, particularly in rare-earth-based triangular lattice systems. This focus has proven crucial since, in certain cases, pronounced chemical disorder has complicated result interpretations. Motivated by these findings, we have endeavored to mitigate the influence of chemical disorder by introducing a novel triangular lattice compound, YbZn2GaO5. Our high-resolution single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction measurements have convincingly ruled out the presence of chemical disorder in this compound, within the constraints of experimental resolution. To further validate these results, we propose to conduct high-resolution neutron diffraction measurements on high-quality powder samples of YbZn2GaO5, facilitating atomic Pair Distribution Function (PDF) analysis.
