South West Collaboration for a biodiversity hotspot - Busselton Winter to Spring

This Green Army project will deliver tangible and visible outcomes for the environment in the South West of WA, while providing participants with an interesting diversity of on-ground activities and training in valuable environmental management skills. Work will include: eradication of weeds in areas that contain Nationally Listed Declared Rare Flora species and Threatened Ecological Communities, protection of Nationally Listed fauna species within two local government areas, propagation of local provenance seedlings at the Geographe Community Landcare Nursery, walk trail construction, and reserve maintenance. Participants will also work with community volunteers on beach clean-ups, building nest boxes and on fauna surveys.
