Landslide deformation monitoring data is the most prominent parameter reflecting the occurrence, development and evolution of landslides, and is the essential foundational data for landslide monitoring and early warning. The Shuping Landslide is situated in Group 1, Shuping Village, Shazhenxi Town, Zigui County, Hubei Province, Three Gorges Reservoir Area, on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, approximately 47 km downstream from the Three Gorges Dam site, with geographic coordinates of 110°37′0″ E and 30°59′37″ N.
