Pinus densiflora wood-forming tissue specific transcriptome analysis

To get an insight into the xylem cell fate specification, we performed a series of wood forming tissue-specific transcriptome analysis from a Pinus densiflora by using RNA-seq. Each cambium and xylem cells were isolated from vertical stem segments that represent a gradient of developmental stages with regard to secondary growth (i.e., immature, and mature stems).
