This dataset contains process simulation data, model parameters, energy and water balances, and circular economy (CE) indicator results for a simulation-driven circularity assessment of recycled paperboard manufacturing. The dataset accompanies the peer-reviewed paper "Simulation Driven Circularity Assessment of Recycled Paperboard Manufacturing" presented at the 23rd Global Conference on Sustainable Manufacturing (GCSM 2026). The process model was developed in Aspen Plus V14 and evaluates two ISO 59020:2024 circularity indicators — Water Intensity (WI) and Energy Intensity (EI) — across 28 operating scenarios varying freshwater temperature (5-20°C) and treated effluent reuse rate (0-60%). The dataset includes:- README tab with dataset documentation, system overview, and citation information- Model_Parameters: fixed design parameters and operating variable ranges- Baseline_Inventory: process-level mass and energy balance for the baseline scenario- Energy_Breakdown: energy demand by process stage (Energy Intensity indicator)- Water_Balance: system-wide water balance (Water Intensity indicator)- CE_Indicators_Results: WI and EI results across all 28 scenarios The Aspen Plus backup file (.bkp) is included to support reproducibility (requires Aspen Plus V14 or later to open).
