Scores for indicators of EAFM implementation applied to DFO advice documents published during 2019-2024

This data set is the basis for our paper Indigenous Knowledge Systems Paired with Western Science Strengthen Ecosystem Approaches to the Management of Forage Fish, to be submitted to ICES Journal of Marine Science by May 30, 2025. Data are presented in a spreadsheet with three tables. The first table reproduces information from Table 2 in the manuscript, describing each indicator and its scoring criteria. The second table contains information on each of the advice documents analyzed, including their full citation hyperlinked to the original document. While most columns are self-explanatory, we highlight the following: Column I provides scores for each indicator that applies to the document. Column J normalizes indicator scores as proportions of their maximum potential value. Columns K and L are, respectively, the mean and standard deviation of scores for that indicator. Column M calculates indicator Z-scores based on columns J-L. Column N provides the justification for each score. Column O provides, in a few cases, additional information which does not necessarily contribute to the score's justification, but which provides additional context. The third table defines acronyms.
