资源简介:
The Expanded BMI Systems Map is a hierarchy of 67 gene systems containing 6025 genes. Built from the Expanded BMI Network, this map captures biological processes influenced by BMI-associated genetic variants in humans OR rats.
The Expanded BMI Systems Map was formed via hierarchical community detection (HiDeF) of the Expanded BMI Network. The Expanded BMI Network represents all genes proximal in PCNet (PCNet v1.3) to human OR rat BMI GWAS hits via network colocalization (NetColoc), compared to the Conserved Rat-Human BMI Network, which represents genes proximal to both human AND rat BMI GWAS hits. Similarly, the Expanded BMI Systems Map describes the interacting communities formed by genes proximal to human OR rat BMI GWAS hits.
We define species-specific genes as genes with high network proximity to input BMI GWAS hits in one species but not the other, and the conserved genes as the 657 genes contained in the Conserved Rat-Human BMI Network. Within the expanded systems map, we identify systems enriched for rat-specific, human-specific, or conserved BMI genes (BH-corrected hypergeometric test).
Communities are named based on enriched GO: Biological Process terms where available. Node size represents the number of genes within a community (min 10, max 6025). Node outlines indicate communities enriched for human-specific genes (blue), rat-specific genes (purple), or conserved (orange) genes. Node pie charts represent the source of genes within the community as human-specific (blue), rat-specific (purple) or conserved (orange).
