NRS-204 | Seeds Laboratory: Correspondence ("SL") files

The Seeds Laboratory was established to administer the terms of Part 9 (5) & (6) of the Agricultural Seeds Act (No.15 of 1921), as amended. The Laboratory tests seeds for purity and percentage of germination. These seeds are forwarded to the Laboratory from a variety of sources, including inspectors appointed under the Act, the Criminal Investigation Branch, and the Customs Bureau. The files consist of reports on herbicide trials, referee tests, procedures for testing, cereal and grain legume notes and a draft copy of a seed testing manual. These files are a sample.
