The PERUSANO study: Participatory design futures workshops dataset

​​​​The dataset contains pictures and notes produced during discussions among caregivers and healthcare professionals (HCPs) during workshops conducted in Manchay, Lima and Huanuco in Peru. The 'futures' workshops were part of a series of participatory co-design workshops conducted from June to October 2022. The workshop discussions were based on clusters of ideas provided by the research team. Each workshop had between 8-12 participants who then worked in groups of 3-5 people with members of the research team. Caregivers and healthcare professionals collaboratively created visualisations by sketching or writing on sticky notes to place on visual materials provided by the research team. The data were generated during the session with some additional notes extracted from audio-recordings of the workshops. The notes and text in the dataset are in Spanish language with some terms in English language. Co-design outputs were created as part of a wider interdisciplinary project (PERUSANO study) which aimed to address multiple forms of malnutrition, particularly stunting, anaemia, and risk of overweight/obesity in Peruvian infants and young children aged 6-23 months old. The study took place in two peri-urban areas in Peru: Manchay in Lima and Huánuco district in the Andean highlands.
