Pupil size was continuously monitored using Pupil Core eye-tracking glasses (Pupil Labs GmbH, Berlin, Germany), which connected to a laptop via USB. The system includes two infrared (IR) cameras for real-time eye imaging and a visible light camera on the front bar to capture the field of view.Recorded videos were analyzed using the Pupil Player software provided by the manufacturer. This software detects pupil shape and computes pupil diameter in pixels, employing a 3D eyeball model to correct for perspective distortion. Each measurement is assigned a confidence score (range: 0 to 1) reflecting the reliability of the detection algorithm. Based on both the manufacturer\u2019s recommendations and empirical evaluation, a confidence threshold of 0.8 was applied to define valid measurements. The software also automatically detects blinks, identified as periods when the pupil is partially or fully occluded by the eyelids.Pupil size was recorded continuously for 4 min in silence (Baseline condition). Subsequently, auditory stimuli were delivered every 4 s for another 4 min (Audio condition). Each participant received 120 auditory stimuli through a headset.Each session produced two datasets\u2014one for each pupil\u2014containing the diameter (in pixels), confidence index, blink events, audio stimulus markers, and artifacts, sampled at ~62 Hz over the 4-min recording duration. Pupil size was consistently recorded in pixels. Data points flagged as blinks or artifacts (confidence < 0.8) were linearly interpolated using adjacent valid points.
