Gastrolobium bilobum genome

The draft genome of Gastrolobium bilobum was sequenced and assembled by the CSIRO's Applied Genomics Initiative. Leveraging a robust ~100x coverage of Nanopore Promethion data, the genome assembly was initially performed using SMARTdenovo (v1; dmo matrix). Subsequently, the assembly underwent thorough polishing with Racon, incorporating both long and short reads. To achieve further precision, the Illumina short read data was employed for additional refinement through Polca. This collaborative effort has yielded a successful assembly of the Gastrolobium bilobum genome, presenting a valuable genetic resource poised to advance future research and deepen our understanding of this species.
