Terrestrial Condition Assessment (TCA) Alaska Road Density (Image Service)
收藏资源简介:
Direct Download (Raster Data Gateway) Objective: Identify locations where roads are present at a density that impacts the quality of wildlife habitat and fragments the landscape. Data: A national roads vector dataset has been acquired from the USGS National Transportation Dataset. The data were reattributed to represent three classes: (1) Unimproved, (2) Paved, (3) Light Duty roads. The new classes correspond to the following classes from the National Transportation Dataset: Unimproved: Four-wheel drive roads. Paved: Controlled access highway, Secondary Highway or Major Connecting Road, Ramps Light Duty: Local Connecting Roads, Local Roads Data Format: Polylines were converted to a raster for each TCA assessment year. The value at a pixel corresponds to the class of road at that location. Values differ slightly between the years due to data improvements and updated information from state and local sources: 2024: 1- Light Duty, 2- Paved, 3- Unimproved, 4- Other 2023: 1- Light Duty, 2- Paved, 3- Unimproved, 4- Other 2022: 1- Light Duty, 2- Paved, 3- Unimproved 2021: 1- Light Duty, 2- Paved, 3- Unimproved, 4- Other 2020: 1- Light Duty, 2- Paved, 3- Unimproved, 4- Other Spatial Resolution: 10m Source data: USGS National Transportation Dataset Additional Resources: Details on Method Changes and Source Data Versions Overview of the Terrestrial Condition Assessment: TCA Hubsite or Landfire Office Hour Presentation Explore the results of the most recent assessment: TCA Interactive Data Viewer Learn more about the TCA KPI: TCA Dashboard *if you have trouble viewing the Dashboard, please submit a Tableau Viewer Access Request This record was taken from the USDA Enterprise Data Inventory that feeds into the https://data.gov catalog.
