It is known that melanoma of foot surface occurs more frequently at points of mechanical stress on the plantar surface. However, the role of mechanical stress on acral melanoma is not well demonstrated. To investigate the effect of mechanical stress on gene regulation, we performed RNA sequencing analysis after performing syngeneic transplantation of B16F10 mouse melanoma cell into the flank and the hind footpad of the mice. Overall design: Examination of transcriptiome difference between flank-injected B16F10 tumors and footpad-injected B16F10 tumors.
