A set of different strains of Candida albicans were barcoded and mixed in equal proportion to study their relative fitness in the murine gastrointestinal tract as well as in the systemic infection model. Barcodes were amplified from different samples to prepare sequencing libraries and these libraries were sequenced on Illumina Miseq machine. The relative fitness of each strain from different samples is presented as Competitive Index (CI).
