Viral Metagenomic Sequencing of Acute Febrile Patients from Yunnan, China

This project investigates the virome of acute febrile illness in Yunnan Province, China, through viral metagenomic sequencing. Serum samples were collected from patients presenting with acute febrile illness between 2017 and 2023. The unbiased sequencing approach enabled comprehensive detection and characterization of a wide range of human-associated viruses, providing insights into the viral diversity, potential novel pathogens, and regional public health threats.
