Cambial images from Callitris intratropica

Images captured from cross-sections of the cambial zone/developing xylem of Callitris intratropica trees, processed from core samples taken from trees growing at the CSIRO TERC site in Darwin. \nLineage: Images were obtained at 100 X of 4 micrometre sections. Images were captured using Zeiss Axiovision software, and are in the format compatible with that software. Some images are also stored here as JPEG. Images are of cambial sections are with and without crossed polarisers to detect birefringence. Sections were stained with toluidine blue to maximise contrast in the cell wall.
