The indirect neutron radiography data was acquired using the cold neutron beam from the China Mianyang Research Reactor (CMRR) at the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics. In the experiment, the cold neutron beam penetrated the dummy nuclear fuel rod and reached the indium conversion screen (exposure time: 1 hour, the thickness of the indium conversion screen: 100 μm, the resolution of the indium conversion screen: 75 μm). Subsequently, the indium conversion screen was exposed to the neutron imaging plate (NIP) for a secondary exposure (second exposure time: 2 hour). The NIP scanning was completed using a phosphor screen laser scanner (scanning optical resolution 50 µm, scanning bias voltage 600 V) with a clearing time greater than 15 min. Finally, we gathered 180 projected images across a 360◦ range.The image data was then denoised and calibrated using ImageJ. Finally, it was reconstructed using the POCS-TVM algorithm in MATLAB, resulting in high-quality images.
