Improving mortality rate estimation in 825 European cities: a linear mixed-effects modelling approach using Urban Audit data - Output Data

This dataset contains age- and sex- specific mortality rates for 825 European cities across 29 countries, for years 2015 and 2018, conducted as part of the UBDPolicy project (https://ubdpolicy.eu/). Publicly available data from Eurostat and national databases were supplemented using linear mixed-effects models with natural cubic splines to fill gaps in population and mortality counts. The data includes all-cause and natural-cause mortality rates at city-level and by age- and sex-group (adults aged 20-24 to 85+ years), and age-standardised rates at city and country level.
