Custom Nanostring nCounter Pig (Sus scrofa) Cognitive Development Panel

The objective of this study was to determine whether different milk treatments affected the genes related to cognitive function in the piglet's brain Brain samples from three regions (hippocampus, striatum and prefrontal cortex) from 24 piglets that were fed with three different types of milk (8 piglets per milk treatment) were analysed for expression of 77 genes related with brain cellular process (synaptogenesis, myelination, neurotrophins, and synaptic vesicle cycle), neurotransmission (neurotransmitter receptor, transporter, and enzymes involved in neurotransmitter synthesis). M1 - Bovine, M2 - Caprine, M3 - Ovine.
