Public Acts: Conductor | 8 Movements, Preston Bus Station, Preston, Lancashire, 14th July 2019.

<b>Public Acts</b> brings together 2 projects that through temporary public intervention, seek to alter our perceptions of our daily interactions in public spaces, turning the functional and recreational into acts both poetic and performative.<br><br>This item contains a project outline, images of the event poster and flyers, 5 preliminary drawings, 13 images of the event, 4 score drawings and an 18 minute audio file of the event soundtrack.<br><br>This item documents <b>Conductor 8 Movements</b>, a 60 minute choreographed performance at Preston Bus Station to mark its 50th Anniversary. The event involved the slow sequenced movement of 32 buses and volunteers. A soundtrack was created by Preston Filed Audio combining recordings from the Bus station and electronic loops, composed in response to score drawings by the artist.<br><br><b>Conductor 8</b> was filmed by Jared Schiller and re-presented as part of the exhibition, <b>Brutal and Beautiful: 50 Years in the Life of Preston Bus Station </b>at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.<br><br><b>Conductor 8 </b>Poster, Flyers and Leaflet were designed by Carl Slater.<br><br>Volunteer Instructions devised by Ben Rutherford.<br><br>Photography by Ashley Hardman, Michael Porter and Ben Rutherford.
