Whole genome sequence and annotation of Prunus dulcis. Prunus dulcis strain:Lauranne

The goal of the project was the assembly and annotation of the whole almond (Prunus dulcis) genome. A combination of Illumina paired-end/mate-pairs and Pacbio reads were used to build the reference genome which was then annotated by a combination of ab initio and RNA-seq based approaches. Thanks to the produced data it was possible to identify the gene responsible for the almond Sweet Kernel gene (Sk)
