The role of visitors in co-creating the offer of museums in Europe

To examine the participatory role of visitors in shaping the value propositions of European cultural institutions, an online survey instrument was administered to museums and science centres. The sampling frame was constructed using the European Museums Network directory, accessible at https://museums.eu/museum/index, with search parameters restricted exclusively to museum-type entities. Fieldwork was conducted between July and September 2024. The survey questionnaire is in 3 language versions: English, Polish, and French.
