Latin America: non-life insurance premiums to GDP 2019, by country

In Latin America and the Caribbean, Venezuela was the country with the highest ratio of non-life insurance premiums in relation to gross domestic product (GDP) in 2019. That year, non-life insurance premiums written in Venezuela represented 3..02 percent of the country's GDP. Meanwhile, in Paraguay, they accounted for almost 0.12 percent of the GDP. In that same year, Chile had the highest ratio of life insurance premiums to GDP in the region.
