Transcriptome analysis of cruabcabc (a triple cruabcciferin (cruabc) mutant of cruabcA, cruabcB, and cruabcC) during seed maturation

An in-depth analysis of the cruabc triple mutant showed the importance of translational machinery and response to oxidative stress in proteome rebalancing during the early onset of maturation. Seeds from Col-0 and cruabc were grown in growth chambers at 22°C/24°C (day/night) under long-day conditions (16 h of light/8 h of dark) and watering was provided to keep plants hydrated at all times. Seeds were harvested at 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 days after flowering (DAF). The treatment consists of comparing the triple mutant cruabc (T-DNA insertions targeting CRUA (At5g44120.3), CRUB (At1g03880.1), and CRUC (At4g28520.1)) with Col-0 during seed maturation and normal growth conditions.
