Spatially resolved i-Tree Canopy regional configuration candidates for the Lake Eymir climate-proxy analysis

This dataset contains iTree_candidate_polygons_final.gpkg, the 3,689 candidate polygons used to rank available i-Tree Canopy regional configurations by climatic similarity to the Lake Eymir study area, Türkiye. The i-Tree Canopy configuration hierarchy was accessed on 12 September 2026. Of 3,708 terminal entries identified, one duplicate was removed; 18 of the remaining 3,707 entries could not be matched to a reproducible polygon and were excluded from the spatial analysis. The GeoPackage is the geometry input for the 1991–2020 WorldClim analysis. The candidate registry, geometry crosswalk, source manifest, exclusion record, analysis code, and resulting ranking are available at https://github.com/fundayakar/i_tree_canopy/tree/main/point-target-2026. This file contains the assembled candidate geometries; it is not an export of boundaries supplied by i-Tree Canopy.
