This dataset shows the number of homes that have recieved cavity wall or loft insulation from 2008 to 2010 as part of the Government's Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT). The data was sourced from the Guardian website http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2011/aug/05/insulation-homes-britain-energy-companies The figures are produced by the Energy Saving Trust. The data has been joined to the EU region dataset released by the OS as part of their open data initiative. CERT data was last updated in HEED on 31/07/2011. This update contains data on installations up to the end of quarter 12 (31/03/2011) of the CERT scheme. The cumulative Data Gap for quarters 1-12 of CERT is currently estimated to be 14%. It is expected that more Year 3 data (particularly for Q12) will be received in the next data submission. CERT years run from the 1st April to 31st March, with Year 1 starting on 1st April 2008.
