On_block_search

This is a dataset regarding a parametric exploration performed into the results of 59049 building performance simulations in order to study the inner workings of overlapping block coordinate searches and define heuristic indicators suited to support their design. The exploration has been performed by the means of the OPTS program managing parametric explorations through the use of the ESP-r building performance simulation platform. A current and open source version of OPTS (Sim::OPTS, Perl module) can be found at the address http://search.cpan.org/~glbrune/. The here available files include an older, binary version of OPTS and two still binary programs for searching through the data with the support of the defined heuristic indicators.
