Discovery of intestinal microbiota responding to dietary arabinoxylan

As one representative dietary fiber, arabinoxylan plays a pivotal role in promoting gut health and regulating nutrient metabolism through its interaction with gut microbiota. However, the specific gut microbes that respond to arabinoxylan intervention have not been fully elucidated. In this study, mice were fed diets supplemented with different appropriate of arabinoxylan, and the key bacterial responders to arabinoxylan intervention were investigated using 16S rRNA sequencing and fluorescent D-amino acid (FDAA)-based metabolic labeling approaches.
