Parkes observations for project P1121 semester 2021APRS_05

This project aims to obtain simultaneous multi-frequency full-polarisation observations of mode-switching pulsars to explore a novel method to estimate the charged current density based on the work by Hibschman & Arons (2001) and to investigate the remarkable frequency-dependent behaviour of the mode-separated profile shape of PSR B1822-09 and expand to the other moding pulsars. This dataset will allow us to investigate and compare between the modes subpulse modulation, profile’s shape and intensity, and polarisation position angle in both aspects of time and frequency evolution. Using Parkes and UWL, this dataset will provide more insights in understanding mode-switching pulsars and the pulsar’s magnetosphere in general.
