资源简介:
This dataset supports the study “The Shame-Inducing Effect on Epistemic Trust in Individuals with Grandiose Narcissistic Traits.” The data were collected from 233 university students selected from a larger sample of 839 individuals based on their scores on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory-16 (NPI-16). Participants were assigned to either a shame-induction or control condition and completed the newly developed Epistemic Trust, Mistrust, and Credulity Implicit Task (ETMCIT), the Epistemic Trust, Mistrust, and Credulity Questionnaire (ETMCQ), and additional self-report measures including PANAS, DASS-21, and ECR-36. The primary aim of this research was to examine how shame induction affects epistemic stance—specifically, trust, mistrust, and credulity—in individuals with high levels of grandiose narcissism. The dataset includes raw scores for all dependent measures, group assignments, demographic data, and computed variables used in the analysis. It also contains the original ETMCIT scoring output. The dataset is anonymized and complies with institutional ethical guidelines. It can be used for secondary analysis, replication efforts, or meta-analytical studies examining personality traits, narcissism, epistemic trust, and social learning processes.
