The study aims to monitor the impact of soybean incorporation and cultural management practices on the soil health of rice, cassava and corn-based cropping systems. The specific objectives of the study are (1.) To assess the impact of cassava-soybean intercropping on soil biological properties (microbial biomass, diversity of mesofauna, presence of earthworms, dehydrogenase and urease enzyme activities, and bacterial and fungal community (2) To assess the impact of cassava-soybean intercropping on soil chemical properties such as SOM, soil pH, CEC, electrical conductivity and N, P, K content (3) To assess the impact of cassava-soybean intercropping on soil physical properties such as bulk density, penetrability, and aggregate stability.
