We report the construction of the Hellenic National Mutation database (http://www.goldenhelix.org/hellenic), a prototype database derived from a multicenter academic initiative, aiming to provide high quality and up-to-date information on the underlying genetic heterogeneity of inherited disorders found in the Hellenic population.
