Results addressing the statistical significance of preferences between terms among participants with any of the 8 roles used in the academic write-up of the terminology survey results:Single-role nonspeaking AAC usersSingle-role speaking AAC usersSingle-role relatives of AAC usersSingle-role AAC professionalsAAC users who are also relatives of AAC usersAAC users who are also AAC professionalsRelatives of AAC users who are also AAC professionalsOthersThe 5 possible responses were: "What's that?" (Unfamiliar), "I don't like it" (Dislike), "It's OK" (OK), "I like it" (Like) and "I use it" (Use). Participants could select multiple options for a term or leave a term blank.Each file in this item addresses either differences between terms in like or use or differences between terms in dislike. Each file covers all 8 roles. Each item covers one group of terms:Table 1 terms: Terms to describe people who use or could benefit from AAC.Table 2 terms: Terms to describe sometimes or always not speaking.Table 3 terms: Terms for communication disabilities.Table 4 terms: Terms for people.Table 5 terms: Terms related to providing communication & AAC supports.Table 6 terms: Terms for AAC devices.Table 7 terms: Terms for spoken words or spoken language.Table 8 terms: Terms for AAC speech.
