Event from the compiled, homogenized and declustered catalogue for the period 1762-2022 of Northeast India by Soni and Shanker (2026)

The earthquake catalogue used in this study has been compiled from multiple authoritative global and regional databases, including the International Seismological Centre (ISC; https://www.isc.ac.uk/iscbulletin/search/catalogue/), U.S. Geological Survey and National Earthquake Information Center (USGS & NEIC; https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/search/), and the Global Centroid Moment Tensor (GCMT; https://www.globalcmt.org/CMTsearch.html). The ISC dataset covers the period 1900-2022, NEIC spans 1985-2022, and GCMT spans 1976-2022. Historical earthquake data (pre-1900) were compiled from published literature, including regional catalogues such as Tandon and Srivastava (1974), Gupta et al. (1986), and Bhattacharya (1998). All datasets were accessed on 27-04-2026. The first 500 events from the compiled, homogenized, and declustered earthquake catalogue have been made publicly available through this Zenodo repository.
