Data for assessing relation among niche component in aquatic vertebrates species

This archive contains two datasets used to investigate species coexistence and trophic ecology, submitted in support of research.<b>Dataset 1: bd_coexistence.xlsx</b> contains data on species coexistence, including niche overlap indices and species traits across different niche dimensions. Key variables include species identification, niche overlap values, population width, and various niche metrics (IS, WIC, BIC, TNW) along with their corresponding indices. Taxonomic information (Family, Order, Class) is also included.<b>Dataset 2: bd_isotopes_sp.xlsx</b> provides stable carbon (¹³C) and nitrogen (¹⁵N) isotope ratios from various species, along with associated ecological and biological information. Data includes a variety of aquatic vertebrate species from different families and orders, with isotope measurements taken across different seasons and locations. Trophic niche metrics such as total niche width (TNW), within-individual component (WIC), between-individual component (BIC), and the ratio of WIC to TNW are included, as well as an individual specialisation metric (EI).
