Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum CECT 7765 was grown overnight in MRS media under anaerobic conditions at 37ºC. Cells were recovered, washed in sterile PBS buffer and genomic DNA was isolated using a commercial Gram-positive DNA isolation kit. Approximately 10ug high pure genomic DNA from Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum CECT 7765 were sent to Eurofins Genomics laboratory (Ebersberg, Germany) to be sequenced in one eighth of MiSeq lane with pair-end configuration. Approximately 700,000 pair-end reads were analysed and the genome assembly was performed using MIRA v4 assembler. Scaffold assembly was assisted with SSCPACE v3.0 tool. Consensus gene prediction and functional annotation were performed with several tools such as Glimmer, Prodigal, GeneMarkS, RNAmmer, and tRNAscan.
