Liputan6 is a large-scale Indonesian text summarization dataset created by the School of Computing and Information Systems, University of Melbourne. It comprises 215,827 document-summary pairs sourced from the online news portal Liputan6.com. During the dataset development, pre-trained language models were utilized to build summarization methods, with comprehensive error analysis conducted. The Liputan6 dataset is primarily designed to address the underrepresentation of the Indonesian language in natural language processing (NLP) research, particularly in the text summarization task.
