A previous study by our group found wild-type (WT) and macrophage-specific JNK1/2 knock-out (KO) mice developed similar degrees of obesity when fed a high-fat diet, however the KO mice remained insulin sensitive. This follow-up study was conducted to characterize the cecal microbiome changes that occur in WT versus KO mice. Results shown here are from a subset of animals receiving ampicillin antibiotic treatment.
