Raw Data for Article: Accuracy validation of open-circuit respiration chambers for the assessment of energy metabolism and enteric methane emissions in pigs and small ruminants
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains experimental data generated during calibration and performance evaluation procedures of respiration chambers used for gas measurements, primarily methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂), in animal production systems. Data were collected under controlled conditions, considering different components of the measurement system, including gas analyzers, airflow ducting systems, and chambers. The dataset includes variables related to gas recovery efficiency, airflow rates, gas concentrations, operational conditions, and calibration factors. It also incorporates structured information by experimental unit (e.g., chamber or system), replicates, and evaluation conditions, allowing for the analysis of both intra- and inter-system variability. Data are organized in tabular format, where each row represents an individual measurement or calibration event, and columns correspond to technical and operational variables, as well as system identifiers, evaluation period, and component type. This structure supports statistical analysis, accuracy and precision assessment, and comparability studies across systems. This dataset is relevant for researchers in fields such as livestock emission measurement, applied metrology, experimental system validation, and quality control protocol development. It can be used for performance assessment, methodological standardization, and the development of correction and validation models.
