Date of Zhengzhou i-tree

These data are the Zhengzhou GCS data estimated by i-Tree Eco based on field research. A field survey was conducted in the selected sample plot from June to July 2021. A 20 m×20 m plot was set up in each sample plot to perform the tally of woody plants in the plot. The tree and shrub species name, DBH, overall height, crown width in the east-west and north-south directions, crown height, growth status, crown missing rate, light transmittance, site conditions, and other indicators were recorded. These data were used to estimate the urban forest carbon sequestration in the study area. This study only addresses the annual gross carbon sequestration (GCS) in the study area, which refers to the amount of carbon in the atmosphere that trees reduce by sequestering new carbon increased each year. This study, based on i-Tree Eco, uses the field survey data to obtain the GCS of each sample plot. Before the estimation, the i-Tree Eco basic database was updated, including tree species data, location information, meteorological precipitation data, and air quality data.
