The Jornada Experimental Range Vegetation Standing Crop
(Production) Records measures vegetation which was clipped from
quadrats or belt transects of known area. The vegetation was
then separated by species, dried and weighed. The Vegetation
Standing Crop (Production) Records are used to determine the
amount of forage available for livestock grazing at the Jornada
Experimental Range near Las Cruces, New Mexico.
