"Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) have emerged as a prominent fundraising mechanism in the Web3 ecosystem, yet their inherent risks and lack of regulation make early-stage project evaluation highly challenging. Whitepapers serve as the primary, and often only, comprehensive public documents for evaluating an ICO's technical viability, tokenomics, and team credibility. To facilitate research in automated financial document analysis and risk assessment, we present the ICOBench-Lifecycle dataset.The data is sourced from the ICObench platform, covering 1,067 ICO projects collected between 2017 and 2023. Each sample includes: (1) the raw project whitepaper in PDF format, which features complex and heterogeneous layouts containing text, charts, and tables ; and (2) project lifecycle metadata, including launch dates, decommissioning dates, and total operational duration.Spanning multiple industry sectors such as finance, gaming, healthcare, and supply chain management, this dataset provides a robust foundation for various downstream tasks. It is specifically curated to support researchers and practitioners working on document layout analysis, hierarchical text parsing, natural language processing (NLP), and the development of machine learning models for early-stage ICO lifecycle prediction and fraud detection."
