CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF COLCHICINE USE IN PATIENTS AFTER CORONARY REVASCULARIZATION

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of colchicine on C-reactive protein levels in patients with coronary artery disease after percutaneous coronary intervention. A total of 52 patients were divided into two groups: one receiving colchicine in addition to standard therapy and the other receiving standard treatment only. After 3 months, a significant reduction in C-reactive protein levels was observed in the colchicine group compared to the control group. The findings confirm the pronounced anti-inflammatory effect of colchicine and its clinical efficacy in reducing residual inflammatory risk.
