资源简介:
This collection comprises images from a Historic Building Recording at Old Lane Mill, Old Lane, Halifax, West Yorkshire. The work was carried out by Archaeological Services WYAS in September 2024. Archaeological Services WYAS was commissioned to carry out a historic building recording of the Grade II* Old Lane Mill and Former Boiler House to the north, prior to their conversion to apartments. The mill was erected in the period 1825-8, the extant structures comprising a multi-storey mill building and an adjacent boiler house. The mill was used for both spinning and weaving and was built originally by James Ackroyd before later being acquired by the Rawson family. It is one of the most significant industrial structures remaining in Halifax. The work was carried out to fulfil the requirements of a planning condition (23/00475/LBC) on the renovation of the mill and its conversion into apartments.
