Expression of SARS-CoV-2 proteins in Drosophila heart and blood

We investigated the transcriptomic impact of SARS-CoV-2 proteins in Drosophila malanogaster with a focus on heart development and hemolymph coagulation. RNA-Seq analysis of fly hearts and blood cells (hemocytes) that express either SARS-CoV-2 Nsp6 (heart) or SARS-CoV-2 Orf7a (hemocytes). Hearts or hemocytes that express GFP (heart) or tubulin-Gal4 (hemocytes) were used as controls. The experiments were biologically duplicated/triplicated.
