RNA-seq of Pampus minor liver

Pampus minor (P. minor) is a species in the genus Pampus (Pomfrets). Pomfret fishes are economically important marine fishes widely distributed in the Indian-western Pacific Oceans, currently consist of 7 species (P. argenteus, P. chinensis, P. cinereus, P. echinogaster, P. punctatissimus, P. minor and P. liuorum) worldwide. Pomfret fishes have a range of specific characters: body covered by tiny scales, owning pharynyeal sacs, like eating jellyfish, vulnerable to stress. Among them, the P. minor, first described in 1998, is mainly distributed at the depth of 20 to 60 meters nearshore from the coasts of South China Sea to middle part of Taiwan Strait Specially, the P. minor possesses a short snout, large eyes and less vertebrae, and can be distinguished from other Pampus species.
