Experience feedback (REX) of the May 16 2019 flood event in Bamako, Mali

On May 16 2019, an intense rainfall event led to devastating floods in Bamako, Mali. In the immediate aftermath of the flood event, the Laboratoire Hommes-Peuplements–Environments (Labo-HoPE research laboratory) collected data about the flooding process and mechanism as well as the economic losses and damages. This map represents the extension of the flooded areas delineated in the field with the help of the local communities. The field data was processed using the Field Papers application (https://fieldpapers.org/). The map was created with ArcGis and saved in PDF format. Le 16 mai 2019, des pluies intenses ont provoqué des inondations dévastatrices à Bamako, Mali. Au lendemain de l'inondation, le Laboratoire Hommes-Peuplements-Environnements (Labo-HoPE) a recueilli des données sur le processus et le mécanisme des inondations ainsi que sur les pertes et dommages économiques. Cette carte représente les zones inondées relevées sur le terrain avec l'aide des population locales. Les données ont été saisies à l'aide de l'application Field Papers (https://fieldpapers.org/) et mises en forme à l'aide du logiciel ArcGis puis sauvegardée sous format PDF.
