This series comprises volumes of annual reports of the clinical and administrative departments of The Royal Melbourne Hospital (VA 1048). The volumes detail consolidated annual reports for all hospital clinical and administrative departments from 1977-1993, in addition to separate reports for specific departments, including Social Work (1933-1977), Biochemistry (1943-1980), Special Haematology (Oncology) (1972-1981), Plastic Surgery (1994-2010, with some gaps in coverage), Anaesthesia (1997-1998), Intensive Care Unit (2017-2018) and Emergency Medicine (2018-2019). Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Archives.
